Janice de Avila, president, JLM Associates enters into strategic partnership with MBI;

Expands MBI’s reach into New Jersey’s Hispanic community

TRENTON, NJ – NOVEMBER 14, 2019 – Today, MBI announced the execution of a formal strategic partnership with Janice de Avila and her firm JLM Associates, based in Hillside, New Jersey.  JLM is a full service minority owned public affairs firm specializing in public outreach, community development, contractor certification, marketing, branding, fundraising and public relations/media.

JLM Associates is a multi-faceted public affairs firm focused on public outreach, community development, marketing, branding, fundraising and public relations/media.  JLM specializes in the development and execution of outreach programs for both the private and public sectors and assisting clients navigate through New Jersey’s complex certification processes, such as Women’s Business Enterprises (WBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Emerging Small Business Enterprise (ESBE).

Janice currently serves as the Executive Director of The Historic Midtown Elizabeth Special Improvement District (SID) – one of the largest SIDs in the State encompassing over 300 businesses in Elizabeth, NJ – and has done so for the past 16 years.  Janice has also worked with Union Township, Perth Amboy, Hoboken, Weehawken, and Kearny.  Janice attended Rutgers University, received her certification with the State of New Jersey’s Main Street Program and is tri-lingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
