McCarter Doubles New Jersey Lobbying Revenue in 2021
McCarter doubled lobbying revenue and was ranked second among lawyer-lobbying firms in New Jersey in 2021, according to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC). The firm moved up six spots in the rankings this year, after breaking into the top 10 for the first time in 2020. McCarter ranked tenth in the state among all lobbying firms.
This impressive ranking can be attributed to the trust clients put in the Government Affairs team to advocate on their behalf and provide the guidance necessary to navigate complex legislative and regulatory issues.
In 2021, the group continued its expansion throughout the firm, welcoming Michael Maitland, former chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-1), to manage federal government affairs in Washington, DC, and Sean Finnigan, former chief of staff for the Delaware House of Representatives, to grow the team in Wilmington, DE.
McCarter’s Government Affairs practice represents clients in the healthcare, cannabis, travel, education, and technology sectors, among many others, advising clients on the legislative and regulatory issues that affect their business and providing them with strategic counseling to help them achieve their objectives. The team is poised for more success in 2022 following record years for McCarter firm-wide in revenue, profits, and pro bono commitment to the community.
