McKnight: “We’re headed in right direction to ensure residents are kept safe with new coronavirus task force.”

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Angela McKnight (D-Hudson), chair of the Assembly Homeland Security Committee, agrees that a formal task force to assess the threat of the coronavirus emerging in the states is needed:

“We’re headed in the right direction to ensure residents are kept safe from the virus. The formation of the Coronavirus Task Force puts us ahead of the game in making sure the state is prepared to address any outbreak concerns.

“The coronavirus is a public health threat and we’re watching it now move into our own and other countries. The earlier we develop a plan to protect New Jersey’s citizens the more successful we will be at raising awareness of how to prevent it and stop it from spreading.”
