MECHANICAL & ALLIED CRAFTS COUNCIL OF NEW JERSEY ENDORSES OROHO, SPACE & WIRTHS!
Senator Steve Oroho and Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths announced today, that at their most recent monthly meeting, the Mechanical and Allied Crafts Council of New Jersey (MACC) endorsed their candidacies in the 24th Legislative District that includes all of Sussex County, 11 towns in Warren County and Mt. Olive in Morris County.
“Senator Oroho and Assemblymen Space and Wirths have worked hard during the pandemic to make sure our economy can continue to grow while fighting the underground economy that threatens the livelihood of skilled craftspeople,” said Ed Fedorko, Executive Director of Public Affairs for MACC-NJ. “They are leading the charge to protect wages, ensure responsible contracting in public works, and promote apprenticeship opportunities.”
The unions making up the Mechanical and Allied Crafts Council are the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sprinkler Fitters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, the Sheet Metal Workers, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, and International Union of Elevator Constructors.
Senator Oroho and Assemblymen Space and Wirths appreciated the support of the Mechanical and Allied Crafts Council and their members.
“I want to thank the leadership of the trades who make up the Council for their endorsement of Parker, Hal, and myself,” said Oroho, the Senate Republican Budget Officer. “We are working together to ensure that New Jersey remains competitive to be a magnet for new construction and that New Jersey is open to grow.”
“Steve, Hal and I are proud to work with the mechanical craft unions on the issues of importance which affect their membership,” said Space, the longest serving Republican on the Assembly Labor Committee. “Their members are hard working people who deserve nothing but the support of public officials.”
“I have worked with the Mechanical and Allied Crafts Council since I was Labor Commissioner,” said Wirths, the Assembly Republican Budget Officer. “Steve, Parker and I look forward to continuing our work with them to make a New Jersey a better state for working taxpayers.”
