On Monday, June 28th, the Mercer County Young Democrats held their reorganization and 2021 Executive Board Elections via Zoom. At this meeting, the following members were elected to serve on the Executive Board:

* Chair: Athina Fassu
* Vice Chair: Eashwayne Haughton
* Treasurer: Kathryn Gazda
* Secretary: Ryan Protter
* Political Chair: Seth Levin
* Outreach Chair: Marvin James

“I congratulate the elected officers of the Mercer Young Democrats, a diverse and highly talented group of young leaders”, said Mercer County Democratic Chairwoman Janice Mironov. “We look forward with enthusiasm to continuing to work with and support our outstanding active Young Democrats and their leadership, who play a significant role in growing our Democratic Party and strengthening our Party’s future.”

“I am extremely excited to serve another term as Chair of the Mercer County Young Democrats. We have continued to prove to ourselves and others that we are dedicated to this organization and the Mercer County Democratic values”, said MCYD Chairwoman Athina Fassu. “Through a pandemic, we never skipped a beat! We continued to engage, empower, and evolve. I’m looking forward to working along side Eashwayne, Seth, Kathryn, Marvin, and Ryan to elect and re-elect our democratic candidates from the top down in November.”

The mission of the Mercer County Young Democrats is to further the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party, elect Democratic candidates for public office at all levels, encourage the involvement of young people in civic and political affairs, to promote justice, equality, and diversity, and to promote fellowship and cooperation with one another.
