Middlesex County to expand asymptomatic testing, opens new facility in Piscataway

WHAT:            Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Middlesex County has been committed to providing residents with access to free COVID-19 testing, both in a drive-thru and walk-up format. The County began COVID-19 testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic residents at the Edison drive thru testing site on Wednesday, May 20. The County is now expanding asymptomatic testing to the walk-up testing site in New Brunswick, located at A.C. Redshaw Elementary School, 216 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. Additionally, it will open a new drive-thru testing site in Piscataway at 1 Ericsson Drive, Piscataway on May 28.

The County will permanently close the drive-thru facilities in Edison and South Brunswick in order to allow the Department of Motor Vehicles to once again use those facilities. All testing sites operated by Middlesex County will be evaluating symptomatic and asymptomatic residents with the innovative saliva-based tests, developed by RUCDR Infinite Biologics and Accurate Diagnostic Labs.
