MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – With Spring bringing warmer weather to New Jersey, find new ways to experience the great outdoors with Middlesex County’s Outdoor Guide which brings together a wide range of COVID-19-friendly outdoor activities like wooded hiking trails, scenic bike routes, fishing hotspots, the best places to spot seasonal birds, and much more.
Whether you are taking a long walk through your local park or simply enjoying some backyard time, practice your skills of observation with Middlesex County’s free printable Nature Bingo cards coming soon to the Outdoor Guide page. This fun family activity is the perfect way to really observe the seasonal changes when exploring outdoors. To get started, print as many cards as you need to play with family or friends, and see who can be the first to find all the items in a row, column, or corner to corner.

With over 6,300 acres of parks and conservation areas to safely gather with friends and family, Middlesex County is a great place to celebrate life’s special moments, take a pause, heal, connect with essential community services, and so much more,” said Board of County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios,. “To keep these places safe and healthy for everyone, we encourage residents and visitors to follow current health guidelines, practice physical social distancing, and the use of masks is strongly encouraged.”
