Hackensack, NJ, November 11th, 2019 – The New Jersey LGBT Chamber of Commerce is proud to host a “Minority-Owned Small-Business Cross-Certification Panel” sponsored by TD Bank. The mission of the event is to educate minority small-business owners on the benefits of certification with professional organizations. The event will be held in partnership with representatives from: The National LGBT (NGLCC) and NJ State Veterans Chambers of Commerce, the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC) and Disability:IN.
Steven Garibell, Vice President of Business Development for the LGBTQ2+ Community at TD Bank will be facilitating the panel discussion which will allow representatives from each professional organization to speak about the benefits of becoming a certified minority-owned business. Such benefits include enhanced opportunities to establish contracts with Fortune 500 companies and special access to both federal and state government resources and lending.
“TD Bank has a long-standing commitment to our diverse small-business community,” says Garibell. “Our goal is to help business owners learn how to leverage their identities to build their brand, discover new ways to access contracts, and gain more opportunities to expand their businesses on a local, national, and international level.”
