Monmouth County Young Democrats Elect 2024 Executive Board

Monmouth County, NJ – The Monmouth County Young Democrats (MCYD) are excited to announce their newly elected 2024 Executive Board. The MCYD General Body held their elections on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 and elected the following Executive Board Members:

  • Devin Mulroy, President

  • David Roberts, Vice President

  • Kemani A. Scott, Treasurer

  • Alexandria Santiago, Secretary/Director of Communications

  • Ben Dziobek, Director of Community Outreach

  • Tyler Colombo, Director of Events

“Congratulations to Devin Mulroy and the entire newly-elected executive board of the Monmouth County Young Democrats. I am incredibly proud of the hard work already accomplished to ensure that MCYD is a strong and thriving county chapter,” said Fatima Heyward, President of New Jersey Young Democrats. “I am excited to see the new leadership in action and look forward to their continued success. If you are a Young Democrat in Monmouth County, I highly encourage you to get involved. Your involvement is not just a choice but a responsibility. Now more than ever, we need your brilliant minds and hands on deck to make the largest impact.”

The objective of the Monmouth County Young Democrats is to encourage and develop the interest of young people in politics, support and elect Democratic candidates for public office, train young people for positions of leadership, and provide opportunities for young people to network, volunteer and elevate civic involvement.

The 2024 Monmouth County Young Democrats Executive Board

Devin Mulroy, President – Devin Mulroy is a lifelong Monmouth County resident and currently lives in Freehold Township.  She is passionate about women’s and social justice issues and has been active in Democratic candidate campaigns for State and local offices.  After graduating from Baylor University, she was an intern in the Office of First Lady Tammy Murphy, where she worked on maternal health research and policy issues. Devin currently serves as a Legislative Aide to Governor Phil Murphy.

David Roberts, Vice President – David Roberts, 23,  has government experience from working as State Senator Linda Greenstein’s Legislative Aid in 2023 and interning in Governor Murphy’s Office in college. David’s main interest is environmental policy and climate action, evidenced by his experience working with environmental non-profits such as American Littoral Society, Save Barnegat Bay, and Raritan Headwaters. Currently, David works full time for Solar Landscape, the leading community solar developer and provider in New Jersey. He also chairs the Wall Township Environmental Advisory Committee and is a Policy Director for Climate Revolution Action Network. David hopes to inspire the next generation of young Democrats to join the progressive youth movement, especially in the scope of climate action.

Kemani A. Scott, Treasurer – Kemani A. Scott currently serves as the Policy Lead for Sen. Troy Singleton & Field Director for Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman’s reelection campaign. In addition to his new role as Treasurer for MCYD, Kemani serves as Chairman of the Allentown Borough Democratic Committee. With his wide array of experience in politics and public policy at each level of government, Kemani Scott is eager to contribute to the revitalization and expansion of the Monmouth County Young Dems.

Alexandria Santiago, Secretary/Communications Director – Alexandria Santiago is from Freehold, NJ. She graduated from GW University located in Washington D.C. with a BA in International Affairs and Public Policy. She is currently working as Legislative Aide and Scheduler in District 11 Office with Senator Gopal and Assemblywoman Donlon and Peterpaul.

Ben Dziobek, Director of Community Outreach – Ben is a lifelong Monmouth County resident. He has a background in environmental science, policy, and organizing. He currently works as a Community Outreach Specialist for New Jersey Future and previously worked as an aide in the Governor’s Office. In addition to serving as Director of Outreach for MCYD, he is the Executive Director of CRAN, working to mobilize young people to fight the climate crisis.

Tyler Colombo, Director of Events – Tyler Colombo, proudly calls Ocean Grove his home. Graduating from The College of New Jersey in 2018, he currently works as a Legislative Aide at the Office of Legislative District 11 where he actively contributes to the legislative process and constituent case management. Prior to this role, he played a pivotal role as a Field Organizer for the Gopal, Donlon, & Peterpaul Campaign, where he spearheaded grassroots mobilization efforts.
