NEWARK, NJ – U.S. Representative Donald M. Payne, Jr., (D-Newark) is announcing the endorsement of Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller. Praising Congressman Payne’s record on progressive issues like health care and voting rights, Mayor Spiller joins many other influential local leaders in the 10th District in supporting the veteran Democrat.
“Donald Payne is a progressive leader Democrats can count on,” said Mayor Spiller. “Congressman Payne has been a stalwart advocate for so many critical issues, including casting key votes to pass the American Rescue plan, preserve access to affordable health care and protect voting rights. When our Democracy was under attack, Congressman Payne stood up and twice voted to impeach Donald Trump.
