Morris County Commissioner Candidate Home For Memorial Day Following Deployment to Protect Nation’s Capital

The Morris County Democratic Committee is proud to welcome back home to Morris County CH (CPT) Aaron Oliver, just in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

CH (CPT) Aaron Oliver was deployed with the New Jersey Army National Guard (NJARNG) to Washington, D.C. to assist in the ongoing efforts to keep our nation’s capital secure in the aftermath of the attack on the Capitol on January 6th.

Outside of uniform Aaron “A.J.” Oliver is one of the three Democratic candidates for Morris County Commissioner, alongside T.C. McCourt and Dina Mikulka.

“I am honored to serve, ” said CH (CPT) Oliver.  “The National Guard servicemembers and their families continue the long tradition of citizen-soldiers who sacrifice for the safety of their state and nation.”

The Morris County Democratic Committee applauds A.J. for his continued service to our nation, and is grateful for his safe return to New Jersey upon the completion of his mission.

“I’ve known A.J. for a long time,” said Chairman Chip Robinson.  “His dedication to serving our country is something I’ve always admired, and I was happy to welcome him home.”

Oliver’s running mates continued with the campaign on his behalf while he was deployed.  “Dina and I had no problem holding down the fort while A.J. was in Washington, D.C.,” McCourt said. “A lot of us rested easier knowing that he was there to protect the capital from those who wish to do harm to our democracy.”

McCourt, Oliver, and Mikulka will be out in the community this Memorial Day weekend attending several events to honor our nation’s veterans.
