Mosquera Statement on Baby Formula Shortage, Governor’s Steps to Stem Price Gouging
Announces Thursday Assembly Women and Children Hearing on the Shortage
(TRENTON) – Assembly Women and Children Committee Chair Gabriela Mosquera (D-Camden, Gloucester) issued the following statement on the baby formula shortage and the Governor’s announcement today:
“The baby formula shortage has already affected so many families throughout the country, including my own. This is an infant hunger crisis.
“Not being able to provide the nourishment your baby needs because of supply chain issues is incredibly stressful, and my heart goes out to the parents currently wondering how they’re going to feed their babies.
“I’m glad to see the Governor taking action to stem price gouging and help support struggling families. The Assembly Women and Children Committee will hold a hearing this Thursday to discuss the current baby formula shortage.
“It is my hope that we will learn more about the causes and impact of the shortage while identifying steps we can take to meet the needs of New Jersey families.”
