Mountainside to Open New Outpatient Center in Ramsey, New Jersey

Acclaimed addiction treatment provider to expand footprint to Bergen County

Ramsey, NJ – Mountainside, a network of alcohol and drug addiction treatment centers with locations in Connecticut and New York, will open its first outpatient center in New Jersey this January. The 4,500-square-foot facility will be located at 500 N Franklin Turnpike in Bergen County. Mountainside Ramsey will offer addiction treatment on an outpatient basis, providing local New Jersey residents with critical care and recovery resources that allow them to uphold their obligations at work and at home.

“As we navigate two epidemics – the COVID-19 pandemic and the addiction crisis – access to evidence-based and compassionate treatment is even more urgently needed,” says Alexandra Helfer, Chief Clinical Officer at Mountainside. “Our goal is to provide residents in Bergen County and the surrounding areas with an unsurpassed treatment experience and the strongest possible foundation for healing from substance use disorders.”

For New Jersey residents, the addiction epidemic hits close to home. Data from the New Jersey Department of Health shows that drug overdose death rates rose from 13.8 percent in 2012 to 33.8 percent in 2018.

Mountainside Ramsey’s dynamic, outcomes-driven treatment programming emulates the aims of Mountainside’s flagship location in Canaan, CT. Mountainside Ramsey will consist of an experienced and committed team of clinicians and recovery coaches who partner with clients and clients’ families to resolve challenges to sobriety in real time.

The Ramsey location will offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, along with addiction services such as:
