Governor Murphy Directs U.S. and New Jersey Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Former Camden Mayor Gwendolyn Faison

TRENTON – Governor Phil Murphy today ordered that the U.S. and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, to honor former Camden Mayor Gwendolyn Faison, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 96.

“Mayor Faison provided stability and civility to Camden City Hall during a time of great upheaval,” said Governor Murphy. “As the first woman to serve as Mayor of Camden, Gwendolyn was a trailblazer and a role model to future generations. She will be greatly missed.”
