The National Association of Social Workers-Political Action for Candidate Election is endorsing Stephanie Schmid for Congress in New Jersey’s Fourth District.

“The National Association of Social Workers-Political Action for Candidate Election is proud to endorse Stephanie Schmid for Congress in New Jersey’s 4th District. Stephanie is committed to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, and we look forward to working with her in Congress to advance our shared legislative priorities on behalf of social workers and the communities we serve,” said NASW-PACE Chair, Mary Jane Lundgren, MSW, RN.

Stephanie is grateful to have the National Association of Social Workers-Political Action for Candidate Election’s (NASW-PACE) endorsement. “I am honored to have the National Association of Social Workers support,” Stephanie said. “Now more than ever, we need to elect leaders who are committed to working together to find real solutions that keep us safe and healthy and provide the resources people need to thrive. As the next Representative in NJ-04, I look forward to partnering with NASW to ensure that social workers and families throughout Central Jersey are supported and heard in Washington. I will always fight for policies that help our community members fulfill their potential and improve their well-being.”

Stephanie is a New Jersey native, a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat who served our country overseas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, and a human rights litigation attorney and advocate. She won the Democratic primary in NJ-04 with 70% of the vote and continues to work to expand her grassroots coalition to finally bring new leadership to New Jersey’s 4th District for the first time in 40 years. As the next Representative in NJ-04, Stephanie will work tirelessly to ensure that we have access to the resources we need before, during, and after a global crisis.
