“The New Jersey Association for Justice is saddened by the passing of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver.

“Lieutenant Governor Oliver was a true advocate for the people of New Jersey. Through decades of public service Sheila Oliver fought diligently for the rights and dignity of all New Jerseyans, especially those who, unfortunately, society has deemed less worthy and left behind.

“Lieutenant Governor Oliver understood that the value of a person is not dependent on their job, their age, their gender, or their race, and she fought every day to make sure New Jersey’s laws live up to the goal of justice for all.”
