New Jersey LCV Applauds ReThink Energy NJ Poll That Shows High Level of Support for 100% Clean Energy by 2035

TRENTON – The following statement is from Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, regarding a ReThink Energy NJ poll that shows a large majority of NJ voters support stronger action to address climate change.

“New Jerseyans understand that the climate crisis is real and families and communities are experiencing the direct impacts firsthand. This poll continues to send a clear message to our elected leaders that they must support policies that will swiftly secure our clean energy future and should no longer make excuses for fossil fuel polluters,” said Ed Potosnak, Executive Director, New Jersey LCV. “The science has been clear for decades, and this poll demonstrates – again – that New Jerseyans want bold climate and justice action, and most important, that we back the policy recommendations in Governor Murphy’s 2019 Energy Master Plan and pass President Biden’s Build Back Better bill.”
