NEW JERSEY LCV CONGRATULATES TAHESHA WAY ON HER APPOINTMENT AS NEW JERSEY LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

 

TRENTON – The following statement is from, Allison McLeod, Senior Policy Director, New Jersey LCV, regarding the announcement that New Jersey Secretary of State, Tahesha Way, has been appointed to be the next New Jersey Lieutenant Governor.

 

“Congratulations to Tahesha Way on her appointment as New Jersey’s next Lieutenant Governor. We have been honored to work with Governor Murphy and the late Lieutenant Governor, Sheila Oliver, on advocating for clean air, safe drinking water, and open space for recreation in New Jersey. We look forward to continuing to work with Governor Murphy and Lieutenant Governor Way and all our environmental champions in the legislature to enact bold action that protects New Jerseyans’ health, creates good-paying jobs, addresses critical threats, like climate change, and stops the cumulative impacts of pollution on low income and communities of color.”
