New Jersey LCV Victory Fund Announces $147,000 In Mail & Digital Push For Endorsed Candidates
TRENTON – New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (New Jersey LCV) Victory Fund today announced that it is investing more than $147,000 between now and Election Day to help re-elect Governor Murphy and elect its endorsed candidates in Legislative Districts (LD) 2, 8 and 16.
In LD 2, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is supporting Vincent Mazzeo for State Senate and Asm. John Armato and Caren Fitzpatrick for State Assembly.
In LD 8, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is supporting Allison Eckel and Mark Natale for State Assembly.
In LD 16, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is supporting Andrew Zwicker for State Senate and Asm. Roy Freiman and Sadaf Jaffer for State Assembly.
“This election cycle our goals are clear: re-elect Governor Murphy, protect our pro-environment state Senate, and achieve a pro-environmental majority in the state Assembly,” said Kristin Zilcosky, the Chairperson of New Jersey LCV Victory Fund.
In LD 2, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is working to protect open Senate and Assembly seats and re-elect a key pro-environment ally by backing Mazzeo, Armato, and Fitzpatrick.
In LD 8, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is seeking to flip two Assembly seats where anti-environmental incumbents are retiring by electing Eckel and Natale — both environmental champions.
In LD 16, New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is working to maintain the district’s role in championing protections for our air, water, and open spaces by keeping these seats in the hands of proven leaders with a robust commitment to the environment — Zwicker, Freiman, and Jaffer.
New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is also strongly supporting Governor Phil Murphy’s re-election campaign. “This election cycle is our chance to ensure Governor Murphy is re-elected with a mandate to continue to make big gains on clean energy, open space, and environmental justice,” said Zilcosky.
The New Jersey LCV Victory Fund is the independent expenditure arm of New Jersey LCV, the statewide political voice for the environment — and the state’s only environmental SuperPAC. “We invest strategically to win important races,” said Patty Cronheim, Campaigns Director of New Jersey LCV. “Working with our allies in the community, New Jersey LCV advocates for strong environmental policies, supports our environmental justice partners in pursuing more equitable policies, and holds our elected officials accountable during the legislative session.”
Mail pieces can be seen here and here. At least two more waves of mail in each district will follow between now and Election Day. Digital video ads will launch soon.
