New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Endorses Mike Beson for County Commissioner

The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced today their endorsements for the 2021 General Election, including the endorsement of Mike Beson for County Commissioner.

“This endorsement is one that is most important to me. Having children who will one day bear the brunt of our decisions on climate change, I understand that the actions that our leaders take now will have a profound effect on their future” Beson said. “Monmouth County is a place where we have vast open space, beautiful beaches, and yet where the effects of climate change are already being realized. The League of Conservation Voters works to ensure that we have the right people in office to protect our natural resources and that our children will also get to enjoy all that the Garden State has to offer.”

New Jersey LCV is the statewide political voice for the environment  which works to elect environmentally responsible candidates to state and local offices. “New Jersey LCV is proud to endorse Mike Beson in his election for Monmouth County Commissioner. Monmouth County residents know the very real impact of the climate crisis, having lived through Superstorm Sandy and the more intense storms and flooding we are facing. We know Mike will be a steadfast advocate in advancing bold climate and justice action,” said Henry Gajda, Public Policy Director for New Jersey LCV.

NJ LCV works with allies in the community advocating for strong environmental policies, supporting environmental justice partners in pursuing more equitable policies, and holding elected officials accountable during the legislative session. Simply put, they endorse candidates who protect the environment.
