The New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association Endorses Mahesh Bhagia for Edison Mayor

Edison, NJ – Today, the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association endorsed Edison Mayoral
Candidate Mahesh Bhagia.

“Mahesh Bhagia is a true advocate of small business and we are honored to support him for Mayor of Edison,” stated Bhavesh Patel, Chairman of NJRHA and Marilou Halvorsen, the President/CEO of the organization. “We have seen the effects of COVID-19 pandemic that has wreaked havoc on small businesses, including the hundreds of small independent businesses in Edison. We are confident that Mahesh Bhagia will provide the leadership that is needed to assist the restaurants throughout Edison.”

Ms. Halvorsen cited Mr. Bhagia’s efforts as Chairman of the Edison Democratic Organization.

“During the height of this pandemic, Mr. Bhagia made it a priority to support local restaurants. He promoted local eateries, and supported them by sponsoring meals for residents and encouraging residents to shop local.”

“Mahesh is a small business owner himself and understands the concerns many of us have. He will continue to help the Restaurants and Hotels in Edison for their survival and ensure jobs are saved,” said Mr. Patel.

“Restaurants and hospitality businesses need our support more than ever. Edison is blessed to be a destination location, and one of the reasons for that is the number of quality restaurants we have. As Mayor, I am committed to supporting our small business community which in turn will help drive our economy and create jobs for our residents,” said Mahesh Bhagia.
