NEW JERSEY SEEKING POLL WORKERS FOR JUNE 8 PRIMARY ELECTION

TRENTON, NJ, June 4, 2021 – The Division of Elections, within the New Jersey Department of State, is actively seeking state residents to serve as poll workers for the upcoming June 8 primary election.
Those who apply and sign up at https://nj.gov/state/elections/pollworker.shtml before noon Monday, June 7 will have the opportunity to earn up to $400 ($200 pay plus an additional $200 for working a full day) and provide an invaluable service to their community. Citizens of all ages, including college and high school students, are encouraged to apply.
“We’re asking our citizens to do their part and assist their local community in ensuring that Election Day is well organized and efficient for the public,” said Secretary of State Tahesha Way. “Not only is it an opportunity to earn extra money, but it’s also a good feeling to know you are contributing to our great democracy.”
Training will be provided, and the money earned has no impact on unemployment benefits.
