New Jersey Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker Endorse Bill Pascrell

PATERSON, NJ — Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) welcomed the endorsements of Senator Bob Menendez and Senator Cory Booker for his re-election campaign.

Senator Menendez endorsed Pascrell in an email to supporters last month. In the email, Menendez wrote, “Over the past few months, Bill and I have worked together to feed children facing hunger during this epidemic, deliver vital medical supplies to our health care workers, combat political interference in our drug approval process, and bring home billions of dollars in federal funding to combat COVID-19.”

Menendez concluded, “Bill Pascrell is the toughest progressive warrior in Congress. He’s exactly the leader we need fighting for us right now and in the aftermath of this crisis.”

Senator Booker endorsed Pascrell in an email and also a video message where he called Pascrell, “tough, strong, and uncompromising in his pursuit of justice.”

In his recent email, Booker wrote, “Leadership that provides safety measures for essential workers and ensures coverage for COVID-19 treatment. Accountability for corporations and protections for workers. That’s why I’m fighting alongside colleagues like my friend Bill Pascrell, one of the toughest progressives in Congress. With so much at stake, it’s crucial that we make sure he is reelected.”

Pascrell responded to the votes of confidence from his colleagues by stating, “With strong partners like Bob and Cory, the New Jersey Delegation has been tremendously effective in fighting for the needs of the Garden State, its residents, families, and businesses. I am thankful for their support for me in this primary, and I look forward to sending a message to Donald Trump and Republicans by delivering victories up and down the ballot for the Biden-Booker-Pascrell Democratic Team.”
