NEW JERSEY STATE ELECTRICAL WORKERS ASSOCIATION CONSTRUCTION DIVISION ENDORSES GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY.

The NJ State Electrical Workers Association Construction Division has announced its endorsement for the November 2021 Gubernatorial election. The Association endorsed incumbent Democrat Phil Murphy for Governor for reelection.  “Our state and nation have been challenged for the last two years due to Covid-19 which in turn has caused an economic downturn, an unstable economy and uncertainty in the workforce” said State Association President Joe Egan.

“Phil Murphy has been a strong advocate for the building trades and the IBEW and he has always worked with our association to create new opportunities for our membership. The Governor has consistently kept our organization in the forefront with creating green jobs for our membership whether it’s in the solar or wind industry or creating new opportunities for construction projects through the various state incentive programs,” said Egan.

The Association wholeheartedly agrees that the Governor is a man of honor and integrity and consistently puts the men and women of the trades as a priority when it comes to protecting workers rights, health and safety and creating labor laws that ensure that everyone is treated fair and equal.

“The Governor’s impressive professional and political careers demonstrate his strong ability to continue to lead our state during these difficult times” said Egan. I along with my five other esteemed colleagues from across the state couldn’t think of anyone more right to lead our state and continue to build opportunities for our membership state-wide. “WE wholeheartedly endorse Phil Murphy for Governor and proud stand with him for many years to come!”, finished Egan
