New Jersey State PBA Endorses David Richter for Congress
TOMS RIVER, NJ – August 19, 2020 – David Richter, the Republican nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s Third District, announced today that he has received the endorsement of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA), the state’s largest union representing law enforcement officers.

“At a time when it has become fashionable in DC to attack police officers and to weaken public safety, David has demonstrated to us that he will stand up for our members and stand out in DC as a voice for true justice for all,” said PBA President Patrick Colligan.

“I would like to thank the New Jersey State PBA for their endorsement!  While Democrats are calling to defund the very men and women who keep our communities safe, our campaign has chosen to stand beside them and make our support for men and women in blue very clear,” said Richter.  “As your next congressman, I will always defend our law enforcement community and that starts by protecting qualified immunity which ensures that criminals cannot sue cops simply for doing their job,” Richter added.

Richter is the former CEO of global construction management firm Hill International.  During his time at the company, Hill grew from a struggling family business with less than 300 employees into a successful public company with more than 4,300 employees.  A lifelong Republican, Richter grew up in and has spent most of his life living and working in the Third District.  He earned two bachelor’s degrees and a law degree from Penn as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Harvard.  Richter and his wife Michelle, who have been married for 20 years, are the parents of four teenage daughters.
