New Jersey Working Families Party Announces Endorsements in Senate, Assembly Races

A number of liberal groups rallied outside the Statehouse in support of raising income taxes on millionaires. Though Gov. Phil Murphy supports a millionaire's tax and polls show a majority of voters do as well, Senate President Steve Sweeney does not, even though he voted for it during Chris Christie's administration.

 

New Jersey Working Families Party Announces Endorsements in Senate, Assembly Races

The New Jersey Working Families Party has endorsed the following candidates for election in state Senate and Assembly districts 3, 27 and 31 in the June 6 primary.

In Legislative District 3, the Working Families Party supports Mario Desantis for state Senate and Tanzie Youngblood and Robert Fitzpatrick for state Assembly.

The Working Families Party is backing John McKeon and Alixon Collazos-Gill for the Assembly in Legislative District 27.

Additionally, the Working Families Party endorses Angela McKnight for Senate in Legislative District 31.

“These candidates are the best choices for voters in these districts,” said Sue Altman, Executive Director of the New Jersey Working Families Party. “They will advocate for the needs of New Jerseyans and their families, and we are proud to support them in these races. We encourage all who live in these districts to learn about these candidates and to make sure and vote on June 6.”
