New Jersey Working Families Statement on Gov. Phil Murphy First Budget Address

Newark- New Jersey Working Families Alliance Executive Director, Analilia Mejia, issued the following statement in response to Gov. Murphy’s FY 2019 Budget Address:

“New Jersey working families are poised to finally take a step forward on education, property tax relief, environmental justice, and a whole host of issues because of Governor Murphy’s bold and responsible budget. A key cornerstone of his plan is the reintroduction of tax fairness, eliminating the unfair giveaways and eliminations that favored the wealthy and crippled the state. Once Murphy’s bold vision is achieved, New Jersey will become more affordable and attractive to families and businesses alike.”
