Research and Online Archive to Remain Available as Resource to Inform State’s Agenda

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – December 22, 2017 – New Start New Jersey, the New Jersey-based think tank dedicated to exploring policy initiatives to improve the state’s economy and quality of life, announced today that its Board of Directors has elected to conclude active operations effective December 31, 2017. The organization, founded in 2014 by incoming First Lady Tammy Snyder Murphy and Governor-elect Philip Murphy, will keep its website accessible as a resource to inform ongoing policy dialogue in the state.

“With New Jersey set to begin an exciting new chapter, we intend to focus on advancing the progressive, innovative agenda and promising ideas that New Start New Jersey has developed during the past three years,” said Snyder Murphy, Chair and Co-Founder of New Start New Jersey. “We remain incredibly grateful to all of our partners, especially our Board, whose wisdom and experience guided the organization in such worthwhile directions.”
