The Newark Central Ward Democratic Committee is fully committed to ensuring Central Ward Councilwoman Lamonica Mclver is re-elected on May 10th, 2022. Since 2018, Councilwoman Mclver has been fighting tirelessly for all families in the Central Ward. Having being born and raised in the Central Ward, she has been on the forefront of tackling key issues important to Central Ward residents. In 2012, she founded Newark G.A.L.S Inc, a non-profit organization aimed to empower the next generation of women in the City of Newark. Furthermore, in 2014, she helped found the Believe in Newark Foundation, a non profit organization that provides resources, technical assistance to support Newark residents. Currently, Councilwoman Mclver is the youngest member and the only woman serving on the municipal council. We are encouraging all Central Ward residents to please vote to re-elect Councilwoman Lamonica Mclver who is running with the Honorable Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.
