NEWARK WILL REOPEN CITY HALL AND OTHER MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS
ON MONDAY, JUNE 15, FROM MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS UNDER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS
Residents must sign in and receive temperature checks before gaining access to buildings
Newark – June 12, 2020– Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced today that the City of Newark will reopen City Hall and other municipal buildings to residents and visitors to conduct business on Monday, June 15. Buildings and offices will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily (normal business hours).
All visitors to City Hall and other buildings MUST sign in and receive temperature screenings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Residents are encouraged to use on-line services to pay water, tax, and other bills, through the City’s website at www.newarknj.gov
City Hall and other agencies will be under minimal staffing, and both employees and visitors to municipal buildings will practice social distancing. Visitors are asked to show patience because of this.
