SOMERVILLE, NJ — Rebecca Bennett, former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, healthcare leader, mom of two, and candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District, announced today that her campaign raised more than $700,000 in the first quarter of 2026, bringing her total fundraising haul to more than $2.65 million as she further cements her frontrunner status to take on vulnerable Congressman Tom Kean Jr.
The campaign heads into the final stretch of the Democratic Primary with more than $1.4 million cash on hand.
Following major Democratic Party convention wins in 4 of the 6 counties in New Jersey’s 7th District, Bennett’s Q1 haul marks her strongest quarter to date, following fundraising totals of $425,000 in Q1, $480,000 in Q2, $477,000 in Q3, and $552,000 in Q4 of 2025. She has raised more than any other Democratic challenger in history in NJ-07 in Q1 of the election year, without self-funding or corporate PAC money.
Bennett’s campaign is powered by over 13,000 individual donors, with 93% giving under $100. By refusing corporate PAC money, Bennett is relying on individual supporters who know she has the experience and leadership needed to take on Tom Kean Jr. and win in November.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the massive support behind this campaign to deliver real results for our community,” said Rebecca Bennett. “At a time when families are facing rising costs and growing uncertainty—from challenges at home to an ongoing war overseas—voters are ready for practical, accountable leadership. I’m focused on lowering costs, protecting healthcare, and ensuring we have a clear national security strategy that keeps us out of forever wars, prioritizes the wellbeing of our servicemembers, and keeps Americans safe at home and abroad. With the momentum behind us, we’re ready to flip this seat and deliver for NJ-07 families.”
