NJ 10ᵗʰ Legislative District Candidates Announce Impressive Fundraising Haul

August 5, 2021 – Brick, NJ – Emma Mammano (D), State Senate candidate for New Jersey’s 10ᵗʰ
Legislative District, has reported raising an astonishing $13,000 during a successful Legislative
District 10 fundraiser with special guest speaker, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03), in the township of
Brick, NJ, on August 4, 2021. The event, sponsored by over fifty strong supporters, was attended by
local leaders, elected officials, and current candidates for political office. The impressive haul
comes a mere two weeks after a previous event that netted nearly
$5,000. Mammano’s campaign has raised $18,000 over the past three weeks, primarily from District
residents.

Discussing the event, Mammano said, “I want to first thank our gracious hosts, John and Kelsey
Shaw, for hosting us at their beautiful home. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting to bring
all our supporters together. The support of so many has meant a tremendous amount to our campaign.
What we’ve done here tonight is we have sent a loud message to our constituents and to Democrats
throughout the state that we are here, we are empowered, and as a community, we have what it takes
to win.”

Congressman Kim gave a rousing speech, pointing out how sound strategy and perseverance in the
face of adversity were key ingredients in his first Congressional run, behind which many were
hesitant to put their support, believing a Democrat could not win in New Jersey’s Third
Congressional District. Kim stated, “Look how far we’ve come… showing what’s possible here in Ocean
County, showing what’s possible here in New Jersey…. [Cowards] are not what we are.”

This campaign is Mammano’s second attempt for the LD10 Senate seat. After learning from the lessons
of her first campaign four years ago, she is charging headfirst toward November with renewed vigor
and a new perspective of the campaign trail. The month of July saw the campaign triple the return
from June, previously her most successful fundraising month. After the event on August 4ᵗʰ, the
campaign has now out-raised the entire month of July in only the first five days of August. With
ever more energy pouring in, the campaign is moving fast to capitalize on its surging support to
reach over 60,000 voters by November.
