NJ Pride Chamber or Commerce partners with StartOut to help LGBTQ+ Entrepreneurs

The NJ Pride Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a networking event with StartOut to announce the new partnership in order to help LGBTQ+ Entrepreneurs in New Jersey.  One of the speakers is a StartOut success story from Camden NJ.

 

Mecca Perry is a social worker, blogger, and entrepreneur. A native of Camden, New Jersey, Mecca was raised by a loving mother alongside an older brother and younger sister. Mecca’s journey to entrepreneurship began after wanting more out of her career and seeing an intense need for social change. Mecca grew up a very driven, and passionate child who always felt the need to stand up for others, Mecca Believes she was made for this journey today!
Her most recent project, couples her passion for mental health and entrepreneurship. After personally experiencing the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs of color, Mecca used her insights to break into the tech world
with the app, GroTru, which is a social networking and investment platform for

Black and LatinX entrepreneurs.
