NJ Restaurant & Hospitality Association’s Reply to Gov. Murphy’s Briefing

In today’s (Governor Murphy) press conference, he was asked by a member of the press about his disregard in meeting with the NJ Restaurant & Hospitality Association (NJRHA) to discuss any level of indoor dining reopening and he stated that, “Marilou Halvorsen (NJRHA) text me this morning and this was the first time she reached out to me.” Which is not true. With that said, this is Marilou Halvorsen, president of the NJ Restaurant & Hospitality Association’s reply:

“After repeated attempts to schedule a meeting with his office, I am thrilled that the Governor is willing to meet with the New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Association.  The many hard working men and women in the industry have been some of the hardest hit during this pandemic.  The Governor needs to hear firsthand about our plight and what we have done to prepare for a safe and healthy opening.”
