Trenton, NJ – Today, the New Jersey International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers—Transportation Division (SMART TD) endorsed Dan Benson for Mercer County Executive.

“As Chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee, Dan has been a world-class advocate for the workers in transportation,” said Ron Sabol, Legislative Director for SMART TD. “Dan puts people first, and whenever an issue is facing our membership, Dan is my first call.”

SMART TD (formerly known as the United Transportation Union or UTU) serves transportation workers within the larger SMART union. An AFL-CIO affiliate, SMART TD is a broad-based transportation labor union representing about 125,000 active and retired railroad, bus, and mass transit workers across the United States.
