NJ Working Families Alliance Lauds Assembly Passage of Earned Sick and Safe Days Act

Trenton– In response to the passage of the NJ Earned Sick and Safe Days Act (A1827/S2171) in the Assembly house, New Jersey Working Families Executive Director, Analilia Mejia, issued the following statement:

“New Jersey legislators have taken a big step towards protecting workers, public health and the economy of our state by moving to enact statewide the NJ Earned Sick and Safe Days Act. We laud the efforts of Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt for being a key leader in this fight and urge NJ Senators to quickly follow suit, extending such a necessary coverage to workers beyond the 13 forward thinking municipalities that enacted this measure in years past.”
