NJBIA to Host Public Policy Forum ‘Igniting Innovation’ Tomorrow

 

Event to Feature Discussions with

NJ Legislative Leaders, NJEDA CEO

Tim Sullivan and Moody’s Analytics

 

NJBIA will bring together legislative leaders and top business experts at its 2020 Public Policy Forum, “Igniting Innovation,” on Friday, Dec. 5  to strategize how to catalyze New Jersey’s innovation economy. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at Delta Hotel-Woodbridge, 515 U.S. Route 1 South, Iselin.

The keynote is Brendan LaCerda, senior economist with Moody’s Analytics, who will speak on the state of the U.S. and N.J. economies. The CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Tim Sullivan, will talk about the Murphy administration’s plans for growing the innovation sector of the state’s economy.
Legislative leaders will participate in an economic panel discussion moderated by two leading New Jersey political consultants — Mike DuHaime, partner, Mercury Public Affairs, LLC; and Julie Roginsky, president, Optimus Communications.
Legislators participating in the panel discussion include: Senate President Stephen Sweeney, (D-3); Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald, (D-6); Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean, Jr., (R-21); and Assembly GOP Budget Officer John DiMaio, (R-23).
NJBIA will also honor three award winners for their leadership in the business community: trial attorney David Kott, a partner at McCarter & English; consultant Liz Tindall, owner of Liz Tindall & Associates; and the late Senator Anthony R. Bucco. The award honoring Senator Bucco, who died in September, will be presented to his son, Senator Anthony M. Bucco (R-25).
