NJDSC Releases New Ad Slamming Ciattarelli for Making Millions Misleading Medical Professionals on Opioids While NJ Families Suffered
TRENTON, NJ — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee today released a new digital ad slamming Republican gubernatorial candidate Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli for his role in making millions of dollars misleading medical professionals to overprescribe dangerous opioids. While Ciattarelli’s medical publishing company distributed pharma-sponsored educational materials to doctors and other medical providers that failed to take the dangers of opioids seriously, thousands of families in New Jersey were suffering from the crisis. Assemblyman Ciattarelli profited while communities suffered, and New Jersey can’t trust him to lead as Governor.

“Jack Ciattarelli likes to portray himself as a typical Main Street small business owner, but the truth is he made his fortune at the expense of New Jersey families who have been devastated by the opioid epidemic,” said NJDSC Spokesman Phil Swibinski. “New Jersey voters deserve to know the truth about Assemblyman Ciattarelli’s shady ties to Big Pharma and how he personally profited from the opioid crisis.”
