NJDSC Releases Thursday Public Schedule for Democratic National Convention

 

TRENTON, NJ — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is releasing the following Thursday public schedule for the New Jersey delegation at the upcoming Democratic National Convention. All events listed below are open to the press, and all events will either be held virtually or outdoors with social distancing measures in place.

Governor Murphy MSNBC Live Interview

 

Location: MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle, Stream live

 

Time: 9:15am

 

Description: Governor Phil Murphy will appear on MSNBC live for an interview with anchor Stephanie Ruhle. The Governor will talk about this week’s Democratic National Convention, the hybrid vote-by-mail election and the President’s attacks on the United States Postal Service.

 

Virtual Delegate Breakfast

 

Location: Held virtually via Zoom

 

Time: 9:30-11:00am

 

Description: Every morning, delegates will gather virtually via Zoom to hear from members of the NJ congressional delegation, as well as other special guests.

 

Speakers: Chairman John Currie (9:30am) Governor Murphy (9:35-9:45am), Senator Bob Menendez (9:50-10:00am), Rep. Frank Pallone (10:05-10:15am), Rep. Bill Pascrell (10:20-10:30am),

 

NE Regional Virtual Event

 

Location: Held virtually via Zoom (Link will be provided prior to event)

 

Time: 1:00-3:00pm

 

Description: Virtual meeting of the NE states including musical and comedy acts to kick off the final night’s festivities.

Closing Reception with Governor Murphy

 

Location: Berkeley Hotel, 1401 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park

 

Time: 7-11pm (Weather permitting)

 

Description: Delegates and special guests are invited to attend a closing night in-person reception to celebrate the conclusion of the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the nomination of Vice-President Joe Biden as Democratic Party nominee.
