NJGIC Welcomes Governor Murphy’s Decision to Reopen Parks & Golf Courses

Murphy

The New Jersey Green Industry Council would like to thank Governor Murphy and his staff for their leadership and tireless commitment to public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand the necessary steps that have been taken to flatten the curve and appreciate the opportunity afforded to the industry to be part of the process to help reopen New Jersey.

The decision to open parks and golf courses is an important first step in moving our state closer to life before COVID-19. Outdoor recreation offered by parks and golf courses are essential in providing both physical and mental health benefits that are so important during these challenging times.

The New Jersey Green Industry Council and our members are committed and prepared to help ensure the health and safety of players by adhering to social distancing, following CDC guidelines and implementing protocols to ensure everyone’s safety.

NJGIC is grateful to Governor Murphy for his decision today and his trust in our industry. We also want to thank our friends in the New Jersey Legislature who advocated on the industry’s behalf.

We look forward to seeing New Jersey residents on the links.
