NJGOP Closing Comments On Congressional Races

Trenton, NJ – The NJGOP is proud of the campaigns run by our twelve Congressional candidates in 2020. All offered sharp contrasts to their Democrat opponents, whose blind allegiance to Nancy Pelosi and the radical left threatens the very fabric of our American Republic. We’re grateful to them for their hard work, and we have been working closely with their campaigns to uproot these Democrat career politicians and entrenched incumbents. Chairman Steinhardt thanks Claire Gustafson, Congressman Jeff Van Drew, David Richter, Congressman Chris Smith, Frank Pallotta, Christian Onuoha, Senator Tom Kean Jr., Jason Mushnick, Billy Prempeh, Jennifer Zinone, Rosemary Becchi, and Mark Razzoli.
Five of the most competitive Congressional races in the State have drawn national attention, and NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt offered closing comments on those races:

“South Jersey can’t afford liberal millionaire Amy Kennedy’s agenda. She will back the most radical parts of Democrats’ plan to take over healthcare, raise taxes and cut funding to law enforcement. Those aren’t our values and they certainly aren’t Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s. That’s why he joined the Republican Party and our campaign for common sense policies that will create jobs and keep our communities safe.”

“South Jersey needs serious representation. The mission of the Joint Base and the thousands of jobs need to be protected by a Congressional member who will be an independent fighter and a heavyweight advocate. Andy Kim is a back bencher who broke his promise to break from Pelosi. His weak leadership and subservient nature just won’t cut it. David Richter has real world experience and the ability to solve our toughest problems. Save the Base, South Jersey’s economy and the integrity of the tradition of excellence from our NJ-3 Rep. and vote for David Richter.”

“North Jersey deserves a real leader. Time and time again Nancy Pelosi and AOC have put forth policies that will wreck North Jersey businesses and devastate it’s families. But, Go Along to Get Along Josh Gottheimer fails to stand up for North Jerseyans, voting with Nancy Pelosi over 95% of the time. North Jersey needs a fighter, a family man and business leader. They need Frank Pallotta.”

“Tom Malinowski represents the worst of Washington politics. He is a DC insider, former lobbyist who went as low as fighting against the sex offender registry. When President Trump drained his dwelling, Malinowski came to New Jersey and lied his way into a Congressional seat on the promise of being a moderate. But the Congressman settled right back into the swamp as a partisan servant to political bosses like Nancy Pelosi. New Jersey deserves better. Fortunately they have the option to send Tom Kean to Congress. One of our best.”

“Shameful Mikie Sherrill’s silence has failed North Jersey for the last time. Two years ago, Sherrill promised New Jersey families that she would be the moderate that would stand up to Nancy Pelosi, but she has voted with Pelosi over 99% of the time. North Jersey needs Rosemary Becchi. Rosemary is a mother with the common sense and the experience necessary to speak up for us.”
