NJGOP Statement On Murphy’s Flailing Attack
.
At tMonday’s Coronavirus briefing, in between talking about the sick and dying residents of our state, Governor Murphy decided to launch a political attack on the President and Republican leaders.
.
In response, NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt issued the following statement:
.
“While Democrats like Tom Malinowski are playing politics with Coronavirus relief, President Trump is acting. While Phil Murphy sits on $2 Billion in CARES act money, President Trump is cutting through the insider nonsense to help the American people.”
.
Regarding the Governor’s attack on President Trump’s payroll tax, Chairman Steinhardt said:
.
“In 2011, then Vice President Biden said that payroll tax cuts will spur the economy, and not threaten social security. Today, Biden and Governor Murphy say the opposite. This kind of flip flopping is exactly what Americans are sick of. New Jersey deserves better than a Governor that says a policy is good when his party proposes it, and bad when the other does. “
