NJ’s Alexander Avellan Joins Lindabury
The law firm of Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C., announced attorney Alexander Avellan has joined its Westfield office. He is a member of Lindabury’s Labor & Employment and Litigation practice groups as well as the automotive and construction industry teams.
“Alex is a results-driven litigator with a strong track record of solving a variety of civil litigation matters from a legal and business standpoint,” said Lindabury President Eric B. Levine. “We are proud to welcome him to our team.”
A resident of Cranford, Mr. Avellan has experience representing a variety of clients in general litigation matters. He assisted in successfully litigating a Complaint in Lieu of Prerogative Writ written on behalf of a commercial tenant, resulting in a remand back to a rent control board. Additionally, he has provided counsel to municipal entities in general litigation matters related to Title 59 and has served as general counsel for a non-profit focused on reentry services for court involved individuals. In his free time, he volunteers with the non-profit organization New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers and Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Avellan, who is fluent in Spanish, is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as on the executive committee of the Latin American Law Student Association.
