NJSIAA initiates agreement with PSE&G

 

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (Jan. 27, 2021) ─ The NJSIAA has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), New Jersey’s largest utility. During this sponsorship, PSE&G will support all NJSIAA student-athletes during multiple championship events, and partner with NJSIAA to provide utility customers with energy information and education through event signage, ads, and social media.

 

“At PSE&G, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to enter into a sponsorship where we can not only communicate with customers in our communities, but also help to support NJ high school athletics and the students who work so hard in these endeavors”, says Fred Daum, PSE&G’s executive director of customer operations.

 

“I’m always excited when we have a new sponsor to further enhance our support of student-athletes,” says NJSIAA Chief Operating Officer Colleen Maguire. “PSE&G will play an essential role in making major scholastic sports events possible, while also providing outstanding resources for our athletes and their communities.”

Established in 1918, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) is a voluntary, non-profit organization comprised of 436 accredited public and non-public high schools. A member of the National Federation of State High School Associations, the NJSIAA conducts tournaments and crowns champions in 33 sports. Championship competition for girls is sponsored in basketball, bowling, cross country, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, outdoor track, winter track, volleyball, and wrestling. Boys’ championships are determined in baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, fencing, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, outdoor track, winter track, volleyball, and wrestling.
