NJUA PRESIDENT CHURCHELOW STATEMENT ON VACCINE PRIORITIZATION FOR UTILITY WORKERS

Trenton — New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA) President Tom Churchelow issued the following statement today regarding the announcement by Governor Murphy that utility workers will be prioritized for COVID-19 vaccinations starting April 5:

“The pandemic brought many things to a halt. Utility workers across the state have kept at it though, ensuring millions of New Jerseyans do not have to worry about telephone, electricity, drinking water and wastewater services during these trying times.

“Prioritization of frontline, essential utility workers is welcome news and we thank Governor Murphy for highlighting their diligence. We owe it to those who have put their health on the line to protect them while doing these critical jobs.”
