Bergen County, NJ — U.S. Reps. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09) and Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) strongly condemned anti-gay statements by Hasbrouck Heights Mayor Jack DeLorenzo. DeLorenzo wrote in a Facebook post that his recent electoral victory over an openly gay candidate, Chris Hillmann, was a victory for “family values in our town.”

“There is no place for anti-gay bigotry in our communities or within our political institutions. These comments are the exact opposite of our Jersey values and family values,” said Congressmen Bill Pascrell and Josh Gottheimer. “Mr. DeLorenzo should apologize immediately.”
