Pascrell Honored With Leadership Role in 118th Congress

Reappointed by Leader-elect Jeffries to Democratic Steering and Policy Committee

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today was reappointed for another term on the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee by Democratic Leader-elect Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-08). The 118th Congress beginning in January will be Pascrell’s fourth consecutive Congress on the committee, as he was elected as regional representative in the 115th and 116th Congresses, and was appointed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the panel in the current Congress.

“I honored and delighted to continue serving on our party’s foremost leadership panel in the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Pascrell. “In our nation, the Democratic Party is a steadfast ally of the working American, for economic equity and social fairness, and for American democracy. I will be well placed to advocate for our district and work hard beside my Democratic colleagues to pursue our forward-looking agenda. I thank Leader-elect Jeffries for his support and for his confidence. I have worked closely beside the my friend from Brooklyn for a decade now. Hakeem Jeffries is a generational leader, and I can’t wait to work with him over these next two years.”
