Pascrell Marks LGBTQ+ Pride Month

PATERSON, NJ – U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today recognized the beginning of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a four-week celebration of the work, sacrifices, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.

“North Jersey is blessed to have a large and vibrant LGBTQ+ community,” said Rep. Pascrell, who last month celebrated the Pride Flag Raising in Rutherford. “Our national marking of Pride Month is a breathing symbol of America’s growing inclusiveness and embrace of diversity and understanding. And it is a testament to the work of so many brave and courageous community leaders that has made this celebration possible. I am so proud of our progress together and the hard-won efforts to make New Jersey and America a better place for everybody. We have come very far, and still have room to go further. I look forward to standing beside the community to continue making that journey together. Thank you for your hard work and God bless all of you.”
