The in-person candidate screenings were open to candidates interested in gaining support from Passaic County Democrats.  Passaic County Democratic Chairman John Currie and the Passaic County Democratic Committee sought interested candidates in a publicly released announcement on January 27, 2020.

“As Chairman of the Passaic County Democratic Party, I work closely with local Democratic municipal leaders to find qualified residents who are interested in politics and potentially running as candidates for elective office,” said Chairman Currie.

According to Chairman Currie, these endorsed candidates will be on the ballot in the upcoming primary elections and the November 2020 elections under the Passaic County Democratic Committee banner.

“I am proud of the candidates running with the support of Passaic County Democrats.  We look forward to a spirited debate on what is best for residents and families in Passaic County and throughout New Jersey.  We are confident that our endorsed candidates are the most qualified and deserving men and women to serve in the U.S. Senate, Congress, and the county freeholder board,” added Chairman Currie.
