Woodland Park, NJ – County Sheriff candidate Chief Thomas Adamo for Sheriff and County Commissioner candidates Sandi Lazzara, Rodney De Vore, and John Bartlett have announced the launch of a new TV ad that started today and will run through Primary Day. The ad highlights the dozens of Democratic endorsements received by the Passaic County Democratic Organization, Inc. team in the Tuesday, June 4th election.

The new ad underscores the negative tactics of Speziale’s campaign and highlights the dozens of Democratic endorsements received for the positive, forward-looking vision of Chief Thomas Adamo, Sandi Lazzara, Rodney De Vore, and John Bartlett. It features endorsements from a wide range of respected leaders and organizations, including:

• Elected Officials’ Endorsements:Endorsements from Governor Phil Murphy, U.S. Senator Cory Booker, Congressional Representatives Bill Pascrell, Josh Gottheimer, and Mikie Sherrill, State Senators, Assembly Members, local Mayors, and Council Members.
• Law Enforcement Endorsements:Chief Adamo has received strong support from law enforcement officials, including Acting Sheriff Gary Giardina, Executive Undersheriffs and local Police Chiefs in Haledon, West Milford, and Woodland Park, who recognized Adamo’s integrity and dedication to public safety.

• Dirty Political Deal with Chris Christie:In the middle of the contentious 2010 campaign, Speziale made a dirty backroom deal with Chris Christie to secure a high-paying Port Authority job, abandoning Democrats and taking approximately $500k in funds raised as a Democrat.  Speziale lied publicly to a news reporter when he said how and where he would donate his Democratic campaign contributions, “For my sick wife-cancer UMDNJ, the needy children, baseball, soccer, kids, sports which I believe in, etc.”.
• Endorsement of Anti-Women’s Rights Election Denier:Speziale endorsed a Republican Congressman from Pennsylvania, Dan Meuser (11th District PA), who is an election denier and has regularly voted against women’s rights. Speziale also endorsed Republicans in Passaic County against the late Sheriff Richard Berdnik and Surrogate Zoila Cassanova, betraying his party for personal gain.
• Taxpayer Costs for Lawsuits:Under Speziale’s command, the sheriff’s office was sued by women for harassment and discrimination, costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. This includes the cases of Captain Annette Mambelli, who won her whistleblower lawsuit, and Tracey Belle, who received a settlement after enduring a hostile work environment.
• Issuing Illegal Police Credentials to Campaign Donors:Speziale gave police credentials, which allowed ID holders to potentially carry firearms, to campaign donors, compromising public safety and ethics.

These failures and unethical behaviors demonstrate a clear pattern of mismanagement and dishonesty that disqualifies Speziale from holding any leadership position.
